Taquería Ramírez opened Oct. 10 at 131 S. Second St. in Yakima. One thing that sets it apart? It’s open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Julio Galeana, who opened the restaurant with Luz Ramírez, said they a saw a need for a 24-hour restaurant in the community.

“There are a lot of people who work at night; people getting off work or leaving nightclubs in the early hours,” he told El Sol de Yakima. “We wanted to be an option for them, whether they want to eat here or grab something to go. We’re the only ones open all night.

“Another reason is that we want to keep the taco and traditional food culture alive in our community. What better way to do that than by offering a service people can count on any time of day?”

Taquería Ramírez offers traditional Mexican food: dishes like carne asada, birria, chilaquiles, and tacos of all kinds: asada, tripa, lengua, and al pastor. It also serves birria pizza, breakfast, and menudo every day.
