Due to an upcoming retirement, The Keene Sentinel is seeking a full-time Business Office & Human Resources Administrator to lead our financial and human resources operations. The Business Office & Human Resources Administrator (BOA) participates in the strategic development and growth of the company while managing day-to-day administrative duties to keep our business running smoothly. The BOA manages financial activities, manages and maintains databases, manages expense data, A/R and A/P management, human resources, information technology (IT) staff; employee communication; recruiting, training, and onboarding employees; and supplies management.

Must be adept as a strategic thinker, contributing to the development and execution of organizational growth strategies. Strong leadership skills for effectively guiding and motivating office support and overall staff. Proficiency in financial accounting and analysis; bookkeeping, tax policy, budgeting, and cost control to ensure the organization’s financial well-being, ensuring compliance and risk. 

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, encompassing both written and verbal forms, for effective interaction with employees, vendors, and management colleagues. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks, deadline adherence, and efficiently manage office processes, documentation, and resources. Strong problem-solving abilities to tackle challenges and make well-informed decisions, especially in an office environment. Proficient in office software and technology, including Microsoft Office and office and business management software. Proficient in industry regulations and best practices in office management helpful but not required. Position will be located out of our Keene, NH office with occasional remote work possibility. Hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8-5PM.

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required. Minimum of five years of office management or related role.
