Vintage boutique closing, downtown office market improving | Columbia Business

COLUMBIA — A vintage boutique in Forest Acres is closing its doors, but you will still be able to find some of its products around town.

Throwback Outpost on North Beltline announced April 17 it will close at the end of May. Partners Alex Smith and Mason Doane posted on the store’s Instagram they will be leaving to pursue new ventures.

“We’re really sad that we’re going to be leaving Columbia, but at the same time we’re all really excited to start new ventures, and we really do appreciate all of y’all for your continued support of the store,” Smith said in the Instagram video.

A Peddler’s Emporium, the store’s women’s clothing arm, will remain active through appearances at Soda City and other market appearances after the brick-and-mortar store closes, store partner Nicolette Bryan said.
