St. Louis-based ARCO Construction Co. has opened a Rogers office to benefit from the region’s growing multifamily, senior living, commercial and industrial construction needs, according to a news release. It’s ARCO’s first Arkansas office.
The design-build construction company has more than 40 offices and 1,800 employees nationwide. Its employees include engineers, project managers, superintendents and architects.
“We are incredibly excited to establish our presence in Northwest Arkansas,” ARCO President Hank Bellina said. “This region offers a unique blend of opportunities, and we are eager to bring our expertise in design-build construction to the community. At ARCO, we believe in building not just structures but lasting relationships within the communities we serve. Our new office will allow us to make a meaningful impact and support the area’s continued growth and success.”
The new office at 1703 W. Commerce Drive will be led by regional manager Dylan Ream and business development manager Alan Bergfeld. ARCO declined to provide office details. However, in an emailed statement, Allie Schweitzer, marketing director for ARCO Construction, noted that “this strategic growth strategy in Northwest Arkansas will create more construction and office staff jobs. We’re investing a lot of resources into this project to create new opportunities for both clients and associates in the field and in the office.”
According to city records, on March 15, 2022, the city of Rogers issued a building permit valued at $974,806 to C.R. Crawford Construction of Fayetteville for the construction of a 9,800-square-foot commercial building at 1703 W. Commerce Drive.
Wes Craiglow, executive director of Urban Land Institute Northwest Arkansas, welcomed ARCO to the area.
“ARCO’s commitments to quality and innovation align perfectly with the ULI mission to shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact,” Craiglow said. “We are excited about the positive impact ARCO will have on fostering new economic opportunities, strengthening industry relationships and maintaining Northwest Arkansas as a national leader in development best practices.”
ARCO Construction is building First Street Flats in downtown Rogers. Fayetteville-based Specialized Real Estate Group is the developer for the 121-unit apartment complex at 401 N. First St. Little Rock-based Natural Capital is the lead equity investor in the $28 million redevelopment project.
